A couple of months ago, Hercules constellation was to high in the sky to be able to get it from my balcony. But now, at the right time, it is just there waiting for a shot. I was for a while looking for this Globular Cluster, and finally I had a good opportunity to get it.

I was not very impressed with this picture. Even though i got higher exposure times then other Globular Clusters I pictured before (M13 and M15), it seems to have less details and less stars. Still it is calculated that M92 is one of the oldest Globular Clusters, with roughly the age of the universe (wow!).
So those last days some interesting things happened.
First one, Juno just made its pass-by on Earth after 2 years of its launch as part of the way to Jupiter. The idea is that it is needed to much fuel to get anything as far as Jupiter because of the Gravity of the Sun. So they sling shot the spaceship using Earth’s gravity to bust the speed enough to go there. This is how the trajectory looks like. Juno will study what Jupiter is made of, and what is in its core, so we can try to figure out the influence Jupiter had in the solar system formation.
Second one, I was looking for a long time for a group of astronomy amateurs around Amsterdam, and I finally found it. It seems to have a group that get together from time to time in a city nearby for watching the skies =D KNVWS is the Royal Netherlands Association for Meteorology and Astronomy and hosts those parties. Next one is soon. And I will be there if the weather is promising!
